There are few things more fun and exhilarating than crashing a really great party (with the exception of actually being invited, of course). And with Emmy Weekend upon us, there are a plethora of parties that are yours for the taking (we’re not actually advocating that you trespass anywhere, even though the anti party crashing law proposed by Assemblyman Anthony Portantino of Pasadena hasn’t yet been passed).
Our friends at The Daily Truffle listed a few parties of note. Perhaps you’ll see one you should have been invited to — it isn’t too late to make a phone call. Or plan a disguise. Just remember, Facebook photos don’t lie.
Tomorrow, Kiehl’s is hopping the hill and opening their very first store in the Valley. And they’re celebrating with an afternoon party at the new digs. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., shoppers can groove to the sounds of DJ Taryn Manning, mingle with Kristin Cavallari and watch as Chris Salgardo, the beauty brand’s boss man, presents a $20,000 check to amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.
And as incentive for those who don’t know who Taryn Manning is, think Kristin Cavallari is the devil and selfishly don’t care about charity, the entire store is 15 percent off during the party.
Happy hill-hopping.
3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Westfield Topanga. 6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Canoga Park. Upper level, near the dining terrace. kiehls.com

This week marks the launch of Madonna’s junior clothing collection, Material Girl, that she’s designing with her super-fashiony 13-year-old daughter, Lourdes.
And man does it makes us want to be a Claire’s Boutique-shopping teen again.
Not only is the line as cute as a baby otter, it’s also so deliciously retro — hearkening back to Madge’s early days as a punk-rock dance diva.
Only a handful of pieces have been released to the media, but so far we’ve seen a cropped plaid blazer, a flower-print miniskirt, swingy black short-shorts with nautical buttons on the waistline and a leather-ette motorcycle vest. None of the pieces are particularly on-trend, but that’s sort of what makes them great — they’re 100 percent early Madonna, which makes them forever cool.
The icing on the cake? Taylor Momsen — that cool little punk-rock gal from Gossip Girl — is the face of the brand. The hills are alive with fashion synergy!

Seriously, could Betty White get any cooler? Apparently so. In the last year alone she has taken a hilarious turn opposite Sandra Bullock in “The Proposal,” become a Super Bowl darling with her Snickers commercial, hosted SNL at age 88, has a calendar out for 2011, become an icon to a new generation, and now she can add fashion model to her enviable resume.
Teaming up for an exclusive licensing deal with California-based manufacturer Jerry Leigh, White’s smiling face will appear in a line of tees and hoodies for both men and women. The apparel is currently selling online through HoodieBuddie, a music-meets-fashion concept company that uses patent-pending HB3Technology to allow the wearer to connect a compatible mp3 player or phone to a pocket in the hoodie. The audio then travels through embedded cables to headphones, which are actually built into the ends of the drawstrings. Best of all, these hoodies can be machine-washed cold. So amazingly rad.
Our favorite style of the four currently offered is this Warhol-inspired zip up for $48.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Denver-based Morgan Animal Foundation, of which White serves as a trustee. Cool.
Become a fan of HoodieBuddies on Facebook to save 10 percent on your purchase. And check out the line here.
