Converse threw open the doors of its brand new flagship store on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade this past weekend, targeting teens and 20-somethings itching to customize their street wear.
The roomy spot features the largest collection of Converse footwear and apparel anywhere in the world. The shop also features Converse Customization, which uses iPads stocked with over 150 graphics (including collaborations with local artists and designs that reference Santa Monica), to let you customize your own All-Stars, apparel and accessories. You can also add grommets, patches and lettering, swap out drawstrings and modify pretty much anything.
The store will host a public opening party this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with live bands, bevvies and, naturally, gung-ho staffers eager to show you all the cool merch.
