Max and Lubov Azria, L.A.’s most famous fashion couple, got creative with color-blocking for Fall at the BCBG Runway show yesterday at Lincoln Center. The color palette — a rainbow of rich, saturated jewel tones and other autumnal hues — worked perfectly with the collection’s ladylike silhouettes, which were clearly inspired by the late 1970s/early 1980s; think wide-leg pants and that enigmatic mid-calf skirt length, which actually read very modern with the collection’s super-high cut-out heels. All in all, a lovely, breezy effort.
