Unless you’re a Broadway star or a drag queen, you should probably never be wearing full strips of false eyelashes.

It pretty much always looks like you’ve trapped two tarantulas with your eyes, and — according to celeb makeup artist Pati DuBroff — they actually make your eyes look smaller.

Kim Kardashian is a repeat offender on this front — and with her you usually see where the ends of the strips are, making things even gobbier. But equally guilty is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Lisa Vanderpump, who wore huge, jet-black strips of lashes during that episode when she was mainly sitting on the beach in Hawaii. Both reality stars are perfectly pretty as-is, so they should ditch the eye visors.
