When it comes to L.A. designer Corey Lynn Calter, it feels like each of her collections is more obsession-worthy than the last.
I think she’s got us late-twenties-and-thirty-somethings pegged. We want cute, flirty dresses…but we don’t usually want them to be ultra-body conscious (looks like we’re trying too hard). We love bright colors — but only when they’re used strategically. And prints are rad… if they feel retro-cool, not nuevo-trendy.
Calter’s Resort collection, Navy Yard, is travel-ready and chic, packed with breezy separates like silk harem pants and pretty little printed sundresses.
And for the first time, the L.A. designer is also offering us tote bags and belts, including a very covetable “Boyfriend” belt in a distressed super soft leather with an extra long tongue that can be tied in various ways (See photo at right). Perfect-o.
