L.A. is home to a bevy of cool eyeglass shops, but A. Kinney Court is definitely one of the most unique.
Founded by Garrett Leight, son of Oliver Peoples founder Larry Leight, it stocks rare vintage Oliver Peoples frames from the late 80s (probably some of the hardest frames to locate on the planet) and new frames from Oliver Peoples, Paul Smith and Mosley Tribes. There’s also an assortment of apparel and shoes from LnA, Gourmet Shoes, Becca Moon boots and Thierry Lasry, among other brands.
The shop will be hosting two evening sales/parties — dubbed the Courtyard Sessions — this Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sept. 3 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., discounting all of its merch for up to 70 percent off. And while you peruse the frames, you can imbibe (there will be free wine and beer) and bop around to DJs spinning tunes — DJ Jeremy Sole on Friday and DJ Osamu on Sept. 3. Sounds like a jam to us.
