Here at Style Section L.A., we love a stiff drink. And whether your wine cellar is filled with bottles of 1982 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild or just a big, ol’ box of Franzia, wine enthusiasts of all levels are invited to drink up next Thursday, when wine website Bottlenotes.com hosts a cool tasting event at H. Wood.

The Palo Alto-based website is a full service vino hub where you can read reviews, catch up with other wine enthusiasts (including Gwyneth Paltrow, who is a member) and even buy a bottle or two. And during the company’s Around the World in 80 Sips event (which has already made stops in Chicago, New York and San Francisco), guests can sample over 80 wines from the likes of Lebanon, South Africa, Austria and New Zealand.

Since the website and events are targeted toward 20 and 30-something professionals (INC. magazine calls the site the Match.com of wine), there is no telling what kind of networking (romantic or otherwise) awaits.

General admission tickets are $75 in advance, or $95 at the door. But Style Section L.A. readers get $25 off their advance purchase by entering SSLA at checkout. And that is the sweetest sip of all.
