Model Irina Lazareanu (who sort of went away when fellow “quirky” model Agyness Deyn jumped onto the scene) has announced plans to launch her own clothing line.

The collection, called Rini by Irina, is said to be launching in Japan in September and will include flapper-style dresses and shrunken jackets.

Lazareanu was the face of Kate Moss‘ first ever collection for Topshop, famously dated Sean Lennon and was — for a brief moment — the hottest runway model going. She also released an album that pretty much landed with a thud.

The short description of her impending line sounds like any number of cool-girl collections already in circulation — from Sienna Miller’s Twenty8Twelve to Deyn’s capsule collection for Barneys New York.

I put it to you: Does the world need another shrunken jacket?
