Tokidoki fetes its new makeup line at the Mondrian

Picture 4Illustrated street wear brand Tokidoki hosted a luncheon yesterday to celebrate the launch of its newest endeavor — a cosmetics line created in conjunction with Sephora.

The gaggle of beauty and style editors — including Marcy Medina of WWD, Laurie Pike of L.A. Magazine and Allure’s Kelly Atterton — along with journo/host Lisa Ling (wearing a killer faded jeans jacket), oohed and aahed over the line’s cutesy-cool packaging, which is ladden with Tokidoki’s signature Japanese street-style graphics, created by Italian artist Simone Legno.

The deep pigments tucked inside the quirky cases were equally coo-worthy. If you ever wanted to try bubble-gum pink liquid eyeliner or jade-green mascara, now’s your chance. The collection (priced from $14 to $26) also includes branded tank tops, a mess of cool makeup bags (some that hang, some that just hang out) and adorable nail files rendered in the shape of Tokidoki characters.

Perfect for the young and terminally young at heart.
