The Los Angeles Times identified a trend over the weekend that we all know to be true: We are literally tripping over Brits in this town, many of them looking like Simon from the movie Go, and all of them making our own SoCal accent sound utterly Appalachian. But at least it means we get free stuff for sharing our dear city: For the annual BritWeek in L.A., several boutiques with across-the-pond ties are offering discounts (see Britweek’s website for details), but of particular interest is the complimentary Royal Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills (see coupon at the aforehighlighted link).
