MSN and Hachette Filipacchi launch women’s lifestyle website Glo.com

Picture 1There’s a new women’s website on the block, and it’s backed by three veteran media companies: MSN, Hachette Filipacchi and L.A.-based web and TV company BermanBraun.

Glo, a lifestyle site geared toward grown-up women (think 30+), officially launched last night in all its eye-catching, photo-heavy glory.

The site is run by former Elle magazine group online director and brand development director Anne Weintraub, and boasts a full staff of equally impressive female editors, including Ingrid Schmidt, most recently the copy director for J. Crew, beauty editor Abby Gardner, who hails from Fashionista.com and style editor Lilah Nicolaidis, most recently the west coast editor for Elle.

The new site pulls content from other Hachette Filipacchi titles including Elle and Elle Decor, and also generates tons of original content in the areas of style, beauty, relationships and home.

Like its sister BermanBraun/MSN site, Wonderwall.com, it’s visually stunning — packed with fun, click-able portals. A style-loving procrastinator’s dream come true, really.
