Via WSJ’s Heard on the Runway, local label Current/Elliott, which has become a hot commodity in L.A. and beyond in recent seasons, has teamed up with Marni for a co-branded denim line.
Per WSJ:
“Current/Elliott’s baggy boyfriend jeans put the LA-based denim label on the fashion map a couple of years ago. Created by two stylists-turned-designers, the line of vintage-looking jeans sells in the sweet-spot premium category of about $200.”
No hints as to what the always-evocative Marni’s collab will look like with two of L.A.’s own. Scratch that; there is one hint, however oblique, from Marni CEO Gianni Castiglioni: “The product we did is not classic.” —Krista Jennings
