Glittery gal Lady Gaga has a knack for staying in the news.
The latest: Giorgio Armani has designed a clutch of custom costumes for the pop diva‘s current world tour, “The Monster Ball,” which kicked off last week in the U.K.
There’s a sparkly structured body suit with armadillo-curved shoulders, a segmented sparkling body suit with “a lobster effect on one sleeve,” and a geometric mini dress that looks like it was made of mirrors, worn with a black patent trench coat.
Each ensemble is topped off by specially-made matching shoes and sunglasses, all by Armani.
“We hear Lady Gaga’s music everywhere we go,” said Armani in a press release (presumably in Italian). “It is like a soundtrack of our times. In addition to her formidable songwriting skills, she is a modern fashion phenomenon.”
Gaga and Armani first collaborated for this year’s Grammys awards, where she was dressed in custom spacey get-ups specially made by the designer.
What do you think of the rhinestone-y leotard creations? They smack a bit of Beyonce, no?
