OhNoTheyDidnt.com reports that Marc Jacobs is suing Christian Audigier for trade-dress and trademark infringement over a quilted handbag that clearly co-opts elements from one he designed. Marc Jacobs (the company) says the satchel’s “size, shape, color or color combinations, product design, texture, and selection and arrangement of materials and accessories” ID the bag as Marc Jacobs, adding that Audigier’s bag is “confusingly similar.”
It’s obvious that Christian Audigier — a.k.a. Fashion’s Biggest Blemish — ripped off the Marc design. But could it ever be confused for the real deal with that hideous tattoo fish print on it?

Love Marc Jacobs line and hate the Ed Hardy disaster, but really there is nothing “confusingly similar” to these bags.
Marcs bag is great and the Ed Hardy one is just plain ugly!
Doesn’t matter to me, either way both of these bags are HIDEOUS and I would never be caught dead using either one.
