Christian Siriano lauded it on Project Runway as the quintessential couture pose, at least one lady in the front of the mag ads will be striking it on any given month, and as model Lyle Lodwick shows from this photo by Duc Nguyen, boys of a certain litheness can swing it too. Lodwick has done amazing work in Diesel, VMan and Dazed & Confused. But I’m not sure what this pose is supposed to suggest. Confidence? Elan? More like malnourishment. —Paul Dexter
