Opening Ceremony partners with Levi’s for jeans-based collections

opening ceremonyEdgy fashion retailer Opening Ceremony is hooking up with Levi‘s for Spring. The two companies are debuting a series of seasonal, co- branded collections — dubbed Levi’s + Opening Ceremony — rooted in classic Levi’s styles for February.

Sounds mighty cool to us. The first collection will include a selection of Technicolor corduroy jeans, shirts and jackets for guys and girls — all riffing off of the iconic Levi’s 505 corduroy jean (an ’80s staple).

The collection — which is priced from $106 to $178 — will launch during New York Fashion Week in Opening Ceremony stores (@ 451 N. La Cienega Blvd. for us Angelinos), at the San Francisco Levi’s boutique and on levi.com.

“When you think American heritage, Levi’s is the first brand that comes to mind,” says Opening Ceremony’s co-founder, Humberto Leon in the press release. “The brand evokes both a sense of history and of nostalgia but above all else, is a timeless classic.”
