If only the rest of Gap could be this cool…

ruschaThough much ballyhooed, designer Patrick Robinson hasn’t transformed The Gap in a way that the fashion press would have you believe.

I can’t exactly say I’ve walked the retailer’s Grove or Beverly Hills locations thinking to myself, This is cool as shit. Not necessarily Robinson’s fault–there’s perhaps only so much you can do with the brand—but I do look forward to Gap’s artist and designer collaborations. A current promo celebrating the 75th anniversary of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA) features $24.50 T’s with art by Ed Ruscha (right), Larry Sultan, Rosanna Castrillo Diaz and other art luminaries. Shirts are available at SFMoMA’s online store.
