L.A. designer Lotta Stensson throws a fundraiser for Haiti victims

lottaLocal designer Lotta Stensson is throwing a Fundraising Party for Haiti at her store (@ 8372 West Third St.) Jan. 21 from 6-10 p.m.

The soiree, which will have a “mini” door cover that will be donated to the American Red Cross, will be co-hosted by Stensson’s longtime friend Apollonia (Prince’s squeeze in Purple Rain). There will cocktails, a DJ and an abundance of raffle items, with all proceeds benefiting the Red Cross.

And Stensson’s clothing will be marked down to 50 percent off, with 5 percent of all sales headed to charity.

(If you know of any other Haiti benefits happening in the city — fashion or otherwise — please get in touch with the details. We promise to post them on the Spiel promptly.)
