Cue the trombone-of-failure sound effect: The 2010 Ecco Domani awards managed to fly over L.A. talent (last year they at least gave a nod to L.A.-based Corpus for men’s design category). However, the winners circle included some ultra-worthy candidates—namely Siki Im (former designer at Karl Lagerfeld and Helmut Lang) for menswear and Prabal Gurung, whose s/s 2010 show at NYFW in September was an auspicious sophomore effort (dress pictured, right). Each Ecco honoree gets $25,000 to show their fall collection in New York.
