You can appeal to Tyra Banks and her band of corny cronies or enter the V A Model search — a competition staged by V Magazine and Ford Models to find “the next face of women’s fashion.”

As of yesterday, wannabe models can submit photos online for a chance to win a fashion spread in V Magazine’s spring 2010 issue and a contract with Ford Models.

If you’re a genius catwalker-in-the-making, submit an online application before December 23.

And behold the 2009 winner (in photo):  5’10” Lea Groesland from Norway.  The competition, in the words of Ty-Ty, will definitely be “fierce.”
