At the ripe old age of 25, I’m at the point where my friends are starting to say their “I Dos” by the dozen. Which is why I’m even more pleased than usual to pass along this tip I received from  our friends at Monique Lhuillier. Find wedding dresses and ready to wear merch at 40 to 90 percent off original prices. And in the past, that meant you could snag a full, beaded $12,000 gown for $3,000 with simpler pieces starting at $500.

It isn’t the most glamourous way to shop: pieces are as is, all sales are final, no alterations will be provided and appointments are nil–its first come, first serve all the way so you may have to rumble for the dress of your dreams.

But when you’re honeymooning on Capri because of that extra dough, you probably won’t be thinking about how you weren’t able to make an appointment to buy your gown. And if you are, you’re probably married to the wrong guy. Just sayin’…
