As they say, one gal’s trash is another gal’s treasure. And that couldn’t be more true last night at the W Los Angeles-Westwood and Yelp.com dress swap, where a bevy of stylish souls came to hunt for holiday wear on the free.

Each guest brought a selection of dresses from their giveaway pile to trade for looks brought by other partygoers–exactly how many dresses one snagged was determined how many they contributed.

And while sipping on Barefoot Wine and Bubbly and noshing on crab cakes with a dollop of spicy genius sauce that tasted as if it were sent from heaven, the browsing began.

Hidden treasures were found in the form of a black Michael Kors jersey v-neck, a beaded Donna Karan long-sleeved sheath and a vintage black velvet stunner stamped with gold beading that looked appropriate for the New Moon premiere down the street.

And as the night wound down, the ladies stuffed their new non-purchases into totes provided by Make Love, Not Trash and set out to brave Westwood’s vampire-tastic traffic.
