In Case You Missed: Flashmob Hits Grove, Janet Jackson Watches from Tommy Bahama Perch

Had you been in the market for a Chrissa doll at American Girl or some boho chic jewelry at Anthropologie over the weekend, you may have run smack into this flashmob at The Grove. After an MJ dance tribute at Hollywood & Highland earlier this fall (one based on a gigantic impromptu “Beat It” performance in Stockholm this summer), The Grove encore was all about Miss Janet, who actually watched the performance, which included routines of “Rhythm Nation” and “Escapade,” from a second-story balcony above the Tommy Bahama store. Jackson had a hand in the “spontaneousness,” inviting participants to perform in conjunction with the upcoming release of her greatest hits compilation.

As for Tommy Bahama, does the island casual attire juggernaut have a new spokesmodel? Don’t count on it.
