Danny Roberts is one of our favorite fashion illustrators. The 23 year-old Laguna Niguel native is known for his vibrant, character-filled sketches of notable fashion bloggers including Sea of Shoes scribe Jane Aldridge and L.A.’s own Geri Hirsch, who pens Because I’m Addicted. The boyishly handsome artist has also gained notoriety through his own hauntingly beautiful blog Igor + Andre, and was recently commissioned by the Sundance Channel to sketch the runways at New York Fashion Week in September. Not too
shabby.
Now, Roberts has teamed up with New York-based Heutchy, the one year-old line of men’s footwear that has already shown their gentlemanly goods on Shipley and Halmos’ catwalk. The collaboration, which follows the artist’s pairing with Gwen Stefani on a line of handbags, is a leather derby shoe that features a Roberts-inked sketch of city rooftops.
You can pick up your pair on Asos.com.
PS- Danny, we’re ready to sit for you whenever you are. Just thought we’d throw that out there.
