Lingerie Company La Perla Opens in Malibu on Sunday

Screen shot 2009-11-12 at 5.33.59 PMGood news for all the Malibu denizens who hate driving across town for a carton of milk, let alone a bustier and a garter belt. La Perla, the luxurious Italian lingerie maker known for $272 boy shorts, is debuting a location in the Lumber Yard shopping complex.

The shop, which officially opens to the public on Sunday, will house the company’s entire collection of corsets, sensuous satin slips, bras and a limitedly-distributed bridal collection of white frilly things perfect for that first night of fun (uh, right). And this being a beachside locale, the brand’s line of sleek, generally simple swimwear will also be offered.

Seems like a good time to grab some whipped cream while you’re across town getting that milk.

La Perla, 3939 Cross Creek Rd., Malibu
Sunday  through Wednesday, 10 a.m. till 6 p.m.; Thursday through Sunday 10 a.m. till 7 p.m.
