It’s sample sale mania around here — with brands itching to clean house on their fall collections. And here’s a choice one: ultra-femme L.A. label Smoke & Mirrors is hosting a sample sale Wednesday night from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., featuring special items and Fall 2009 merch.

The budget-fest will go down on the East Side at 1171 Hyperion Ave., at the corner of Effie. There’s the promise of pretty lined sweaters, party dresses and “holiday gifts.”

Smoke & Mirrors is co-designed by Project Runway vet Emily Brandle and Michelle Chaplin. They showed the very same Fall 09 collection a couple of weeks ago at a runway show at Petro Zillia. So I can attest to its utter cuteness.
