Perrin Paris, the Parisian brand with L.A. roots (Michel and Sally Perrin, the brand’s ceo and artistic director, live here), launched its first-ever store last night in Beverly Hills — an elegant, lofty space that feels like an old-world Parisian atelier.
The party’s host committee was full of marquee names, including Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey, David Arquette, Martha Stewart and Rachel Zoe, but it was so dang crowded in the compact space, it was nearly impossible to check out who actually showed up.
Sally Perrin, who was being dragged this way and that by friends and supporters, said the response to the store’s neutral-toned decor was “phenomenal. And people are really loving the Riva bag.”
Designer
Monique Llhullier, who was sporting a huge baby bump, said she’s been close with the Perrins for years, and never doubted that their first store would be jaw-droppingly gorgeous. “Three weeks left!” she said, pointing to her beach-ball-sized belly. “But I come out for friends.”
