Apple and Mulberry Pair on Line of Stylish Gadget Gear

Screen shot 2009-10-27 at 7.59.59 PMNothing screams “amateur” louder than a janky-looking work bag (and as someone who has before carried important documents in a Gelson’s paper shopper, I ask you to trust me on this one).

But on November 1st Mulberry and Apple are releasing a collaborative collection of sartorially-sound carryalls, allowing you to retire any backpacks, tourist totes or yes, paper shoppers, that you wrongly believe have a place in your office.

The nine piece line was designed with Apple’s best selling gadgets in mind. Oversize messenger bags, iPhone cases and laptop sleeves are just a few of the tech-meets-fashion finds to be found. And if certain pieces look like something you’ve previously spied at Saks, there’s good reason–the line includes tricked out versions of Mulberry’s signature Bayswater tote for women and Brynmore bag for men (think extra padding and earphone holes instead of a standard suede interior).

Prices haven’t been released. But with a regular patent leather Bayswater priced at $995, it’s likely that this stylish software will out-price the hardware it’s designed to house.

Consider it a business expense.

Available in Mulberry stores starting November 1, on-line December 1. www.mulberry.com
