Lova Lads Lounge at Palihouse

lovaAs far as L.A.-based menswear brands go, Lova is about as anti-Ed Hardy aesthetic as they come. In general, I’ve found their woven shirts to have an impeccable fit that slims without requiring the wearer to sport a concave chest.

Coounders Giuseppe Valentini and Daniel Murphy recently feted their fall 09 collection at the Palihouse in West Hollywood. No presentation or clothes on-hand, just framed lookbook shots hung sporadically on the wall. Aggravating, since what you really wanted was a great blazer in your hands, but at least it was the sort of party where a bespoke gent wasn’t asked “Dude, why are you so dressed up?” by onlookers with disdainful brows.
