Delightfully, spring 2010 is shaping up to be the season of fashion blogger plebes moving out of standing room only and into the limelight of due respect. First at NYFW it was 13-year-old Tavi Gevinson—who will be described in print as either wunderkind or phenom until she’s 18, but nevertheless has a delightful, breathless, plain ol’ cute take on the shows that, tempered with Cathy Horyn’s incisive critiques, makes for a balanced breakfast.
Now, a friend in New York clued me into blogger BryanBoy’s latest coup: sitting front row at Dolce & Gabbana, wedged between Michael Roberts of Vanity Fair and Vogue’s Sally Singer, no less. The look on his face (see below) reads equal parts anxiety, euphoria, and Yeah, I’m up front; ain’t no thang.
Cut to backstage chatting with Natasha Poly, and Bryan can’t help but gush: “Me and my favourite model in the history of all time. The most ferocious walker ever, ever, ever, EVER! I’ll never apologize for saying I love her more than I love Gisele, Kate and Naomi COMBINED. Now, can we please go to WERQ?”
Werq it indeed, Bry!

omg that photo is hysterical. sit up staight, michael roberts!
