AMC’s Mad Men, winner of two Emmy Awards Sunday for outstanding writing for a drama series and outstanding drama series, is an on-screen style setter.
DUH.
But who knew that a certain member of the hit show’s behind-the-scenes crew looks like a starlet herself?
Writing assistant Kater Gordon, who was an assistant costumer on Kate Winslet’s 2006 film Little Children, looked every bit the bombshell in a black, lace overlay ball gown.
The classic, strapless choice was complimented by simple, minimalistic accessories and a loosely swept up 1920s hairstyle with a soft finger wave.
Makeup was meager as well. Gordon donned slightly-darker-than-nude lips that were, dare I say it, a nice contrast to the season’s harsh red kissers.
I for one will be adding plain, old Chap Stick into my cosmetics rotation as a result of the old school, buck-the-trend look.
UPDATE: Gordon’s dress comes from local vintage Mecca The Way We Wore.
UPDATE, part deux: Stylist Jordan Feldman is the man behind Gordon’s bewitching look.

Another great find from vintage boutique The Way We Wore in LA!
She, without question, had the best style on the show. From the dress & bel,t to the shoes and her perfect hair & makeup style; she stole the Emmys.
Gorgeous, I thought so too when she went up to accept. Who styled her? Amazing.
Her stylist was Jordan Feldman, who told me that he felt like he was “sending his child off to their first dance” as Gordon got into the limo on her way to the big show. Super cute!
